Scout activities in Derby East

As a District team we organise and take part in a range of activities to supplement those organised by the Troops themselves. Regular Leaders' meetings are held to arrange these as well as sharing of programme ideas and other issues.

 

     

      

We maintain a District Calendar available here which is also distributed to each Troop to help with their planning.

Taylor Trophy

We have an inter Troop challenge trophy with very simple rules as follows:

  1. The winning Troop may be challenged by any other Troop (but not the one they have just defeated) at another competition different to the one they have just won.
  2. The team must have a minimum of 4 members and a maximum of 10.
  3. The challenging Troop will host the challenge.
  4. The holding Troop must accept the challenge within one month of the notification.
  5. Details of the challenge to be submitted to and approved by the ADC.
  6. The appointment of the referee to be approved by the ADC.

The latest challenge was by 27th who staged a game of "Human Draughts". After what seemed like a very long and complicated game, the 27th "took" the last 132 human draught to make them the victors.

27th are now open to receive a challenge - contact Mark to arrange.
